Gone With The Wind Lamps

September 2, 2025

“Gone with the Wind" lamps were not named after the 1939 movie, but rather the term became popular among collectors in the mid-20th century to describe late 19th-century Victorian-era parlor lamps. These distinctive oil lamps, featuring decorative glass globes with hand-painted designs and an ornate metal base, originated in the 1880s-1910s, and were later often electrified for modern use.
